Pregnant? Consider giving birth in Vermont. The state is the best in the country to have a baby, based on birthing costs and other baby-related expenses, the infant-mortality rate, and the number of pediatricians, mom groups, and child care centers per capita, reports WalletHub. Mississippi was named worst in the country with a score of 28 out of 100, but no state scored above a 70. Here's the top 10:

  1. Vermont: 66
  2. Maine: 63
  3. Connecticut: 62
  4. Minnesota: 60
  5. New Hampshire: 60
  6. Hawaii: 59
  7. Oregon: 57
  8. Massachusetts: 57
  9. North Dakota: 55
  10. Washington: 53
