Cavs Edge Sixers Behind King James

Posted Mar 30, 08 10:35 PM CDT in Sports

(Newser) – Philadelphia forward Andre Iguodala's would-be equalizer clanked off the rim at the buzzer, sealing a late comeback for Cleveland, 91-88, reports the Philadelphia Inquirer. LeBron James rebounded from a poor performance in Detroit with 26 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists, and point guard Delonte West had two clutch three-pointers, the latter tying the game at 88.

The 76ers raced to an 11-point lead early with their customary fast-break game, but the Cavaliers clawed to within five at halftime and a tie game entering the fourth quarter. "It was a tough loss, but I liked the way we played," said coach Maurice Cheeks, whose team fell back to .500. Iguodala led his team with 19 points.
