Out on the town in Miami or Houston? Ladies should be extra-vigilant. Both cities are among the least safe for women based on 31 factors, including crime, workplace policies, women in local politics and police forces, and health care, as well as education and wealth, which "indicate a woman's mobility and ability to avoid—or remove herself—from potentially dangerous situations," reports ValuePenguin.com. Thousand Oaks, Calif., was found to be safest. The 10 least safe cities:

3. Tulsa, Okla.
4. Shreveport, La.
5. Amarillo, Texas
6. Wichita, Kan.
7. Beaumont, Texas
8. Lubbock, Texas
9. Memphis, Tenn.
10. Oklahoma City, Okla.
