Morning Consult has released its rankings of the country's most and least popular governors, and a certain one-time presidential hopeful from New Jersey is near the top of the disapproval column. Politico reports Chris Christie is the third most unpopular governor in the country with a 68% disapproval rating. And that could actually get worse as Morning Consult, which surveyed nearly 72,000 registered voters, conducted its poll before the "Bridgegate" trial got started Monday. Here are the other nine governors joining Christie on the least popular list:

  1. Sam Brownback, Republican-Kansas: 71% disapproval, 23% approval
  2. Dan Malloy, Democrat-Connecticut: 70% disapproval, 26% approval
  3. Chris Christie, Republican-New Jersey: 68% disapproval, 29% approval
  4. Rick Snyder, Republican-Michigan: 61% disapproval, 33% approval
  5. Paul LePage, Republican-Maine: 58% disapproval, 39% approval
  6. Bruce Rauner, Republican-Illinois: 56% disapproval, 33% approval
  7. Gina Raimondo, Democrat-Rhode Island: 55% disapproval, 38% approval
  8. Robert Bentley, Republican-Alabama: 53% disapproval, 35% approval
  9. Mary Fallin, Republican-Oklahoma: 53% disapproval, 40% approval
  10. Scott Walker, Republican, Wisconsin: 53% disapproval, 43% approval
