An Atlanta-area woman threw away a 27-year career as an educator in the seconds it took her to make ugly comments about Michelle Obama online. Forsyth County Schools says paraprofessional teacher's aide Jane Wood Allen was fired after calling Michelle Obama a gorilla on Facebook, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. "I admire a gorilla more than I admire her. (Wait, I forgot. She is a gorilla)!" Allen wrote, sharing an article about the first lady topping a list of the most admired women in the world. "If she was a real First Lady, she would not have used and abused her title, by thinking that she is entitled to go on all the trips that she takes every other day," Allen wrote.

"This poor Gorilla. How is she going to function in the real world, by not having her luxurious vacations paid for anymore," Allen posted when sharing another article last week. Forsyth County News reports that Allen made anti-Muslim and anti-Hispanic remarks when sharing other stories. She "has been relieved from duty and is no longer an employee of Forsyth County Schools," a spokeswoman for the district said in a statement. "Racism and discrimination are not tolerated in our school district." (More Michelle Obama stories.)
