The news that ObamaCare premiums are going to significantly rise next year didn't put many people in the best of moods Tuesday, and Donald Trump was no exception. First he said "it's over" for the administration's health care plan at a rally in Tampa, Fla., Monday night, and the next day he carried his diatribe over to his Trump National Doral Miami golf course as he campaigns in the must-win state of Florida this week, per the Washington Post. ObamaCare is "blowing up," he said Tuesday morning, adding he'd replace that program "with something much less expensive." He also worked his own employees into the conversation, gesturing toward them as he spoke and saying, "You look at what they're going through, what they're going through with their health care is horrible."

Which Politico notes was "a muddle" of an attack, as the Affordable Care Act is meant to cover individuals who don't have coverage through work—implying Trump doesn't offer coverage to his workers. He walked back his remarks later in a phone interview with Fox News, though Politico notes he still seemed iffy on the ins and outs of the ACA (which, again, isn't used by employers but by people who don't have employer-provided insurance). "I don't much use ObamaCare, I must be honest with you, because it is so bad for the people and they can't afford it," he noted. Meanwhile, Trump running mate Mike Pence had a "more successful" rip on the ACA at his own campaign stop in Ohio Tuesday, per Politico, comparing Obama's plan to defective Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones: "We're gonna pull [ObamaCare] off the market. We're gonna repeal it lock, stock, and barrel." (More Donald Trump stories.)
