It was a heartbreaking Christmas for George Michael's partner, Fadi Fawaz. The celebrity hairstylist, who has been romantically linked to the singer since around 2011, says he was the one who found the 53-year-old's body at his Oxfordshire home, People reports. It's an "xmas i will never forget finding your partner dead peacefully in bed first thing in the morning," he tweeted on Monday. "I will never stop missing you." The star's longtime manager says he died from heart failure, though it's not clear what caused it, TMZ reports.

Fawaz tells the Telegraph that the two had planned to spend the day together. "We were supposed to be going for Christmas lunch. I went round there to wake him up and he was just gone, lying peacefully in bed. We don't know what happened yet," he says. "Everything had been very complicated recently, but George was looking forward to Christmas, and so was I," Fawaz says. "Now everything is ruined. I want people to remember him the way he was—he was a beautiful person." (Andrew Ridgeley is also heartbroken over the death.)
