Diamondbacks Score Three in 10th Inning

Posted Apr 6, 08 10:12 PM CDT in Sports

(Newser) – Mark Reynolds hit a two-run homer in the ninth and Stephen Drew went deep in Arizona's three-run 10th inning, leading the Diamondbacks to a 5-2 win over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday. Drew's second homer of the season came on a 1-0 pitch from Micah Bowie (0-1).

Reynolds also had an RBI single in the 10th after the Rockies' infield let a popup by Orlando Hudson drop just over the mound. Alex Romero tacked on another run-scoring single. It was Colorado's fifth straight loss. Colorado players trotted out to home plate to accept their NL championship rings before the game.
