Madonna to Adopt Indian Baby

Posted Apr 7, 08 11:26 AM CDT in Gossip

(Newser) – A year and a half after Madonna's controversial adoption in Malawi, the Material Mom will bring home another baby—this time from India, reports the Sun. Hubby Guy Ritchie was initially "against the idea," a friend told the paper. "But when she wants something, she gets it."

The couple will choose a child after Madge completes promotional obligations for her latest album. The 49-year-old pop queen decided on India for her second adoption after a lengthy vacation there with children Lourdes, 11, Rocco, 7, and 2-year-old David. She had looked for a baby girl to adopt in Africa but was finally discouraged by the red tape, says the Sun.
