The groundhog has spoken: No early spring. The handlers of Punxsutawney Phil say he saw his shadow Thursday morning during the traditional Groundhog Day festivities in Pennsylvania, meaning six more weeks of winter. For Phil fans, it's not a big surprise: Records show the groundhog has predicted an early spring just 18 times since 1887. The AP also delivers a spoiler: The forecast is actually decided ahead of time by humans before the big event on Gobbler's Knob, a tiny hill just outside Punxsutawney. (More groundhog day stories.)
