Conan's Stalker Priest Pleads Guilty

Posted Apr 8, 08 4:17 PM CDT in Crime & Courts Gossip

(Newser) – A Roman Catholic priest who stalked Conan O'Brien pleaded guilty today to disorderly conduct and apologized for his actions, WBZ-TV reports. Rev. David Ajemian, 46, sent the late-night talk-show host threatening letters on parish letterhead—referring to himself as "your stalker priest"—contacted O'Brien's parents, and got caught trying to sneak into a New York taping after being told to stay away.

"Is this the way you treat your most dangerous fans?" Ajemian wrote in one letter. "I want a public confession before I ever consider giving you absolution—or a spot on your couch." The Boston-area priest—he's been placed on leave by the diocese—agreed to avoid any contact with O'Brien for two years. He said he meant no harm.
