Housewives Get Sweaty for 'Work Out' Star

Posted Apr 13, 08 2:41 PM CDT in Arts & Living

(Newser) – Jackie Warner seems unlikely to spark suburban housewife crushes. And yet the star of Bravo’s “Work Out,” about the lesbian trainer’s elite Los Angeles gym, is much-loved by straight ladies. “I have women that send me photos of themselves with their husbands and three teenage boys or whatever, with a love letter attached,” Warner tells the New York Times.

So what gives? Women like the show's portrayal of lesbian love, Warner's therapy sessions, and her type-A business savvy. Others may be confusing admiration with desire. “My girl crush isn’t so much as I want to date Jackie as much as I want to get closer to that look,” one fan said. “She’s got fierce abs, a sexy voice, and the most amazing lip gloss I have ever seen.”
