Raunchy Narratives Open Web Porn to Blind

Posted Apr 13, 08 11:15 AM CDT in Arts & Living Technology

(Newser) – Looking for volunteer opportunities? The nonprofit Porn for the Blind is making free porn preview sites accessible to the blind, Wired reports. "We imagine that visually impaired people benefit from this service in many of the same ways that non-visually impaired people benefit from the hard-core pornography that's being described," said the group's co-founder.

Volunteer "audio describers" record descriptions of short porn clips. Launched 2 years ago, the site received a boost in blogger attention this month, with traffic spiking to 50,000 visitors in 3 days. “We've been extremely impressed with most of the contributions,” said the co-founder. “People are clearly putting time and effort into their descriptions and we thank them for that."
