Reza Aslan has lost his CNN hosting gig over controversial comments about President Trump. Following last week's London terror attack, Trump promoted his travel ban, prompting Aslan to tweet that the president is a "piece of s---" who "is not just an embarrassment to America and a stain on the presidency. He’s an embarrassment to humankind." Uproar followed, and on Friday, CNN released a statement saying it would not move forward with the planned second season of special series Believer with Reza Aslan, Politico reports. The acquired series had just finished its first season after launching in January. Aslan had previously apologized for his Trump tweet. (More CNN stories.)
