Back in custody: Two escaped inmates described as "dangerous beyond description" have been captured in Tennessee. Donnie Russell Rowe, 42, and Ricky Dubose, 24, were caught after a car chase, reports the AP. The men escaped from a prison transport van Tuesday morning southeast of Atlanta after authorities say they overpowered officers Christopher Monica and Curtis Billue, both of whom were shot to death. They carjacked a driver who stopped at the scene, and stole at least one more vehicle while on the run, police say.

Dubose was serving up to 20 years in prison for armed robbery, aggravated assault, and theft, and Rowe was serving a sentence of up to life in prison for armed robbery and aggravated assault, per CNN. Authorities had offered a reward of $130,000 for information leading to their capture. It wasn't immediately clear how police tracked them down. (More fugitives stories.)
