Alyssa Milano is suing her ex-business manager for misconduct that left her "millions of dollars in debt," Variety reports. The actress slapped Kenneth Hellie and his firm with a $10 million lawsuit, charging that the accountant's misconduct left her and talent agent husband David Bugliari's "credit in ruins." The suit filed Friday in LA Superior Court claims Hellie forged Milano's signature on checks, and failed to pay overdue bills and taxes.

The legal action says Hellie persuaded the former Whose the Boss? star to invest in misguided schemes without revealing that Hellie was also an investor. Reached by phone, Hellie tells Variety, "Obviously [it's] a lot of it’s like the Johnny Depp situation. I can’t say anything just yet." Depp is suing his ex-business team for financial misconduct, but they contend he is a "habitual liar" who spends $2 million a month. Milano's attorney says of the Depp comparison, "Nothing could be further from reality. Alyssa and David live a relatively modest lifestyle centered on their family." (More Alyssa Milano stories.)
