In Wacky Case, ATM Delivers Note Reading 'Help'

Instead of money, an ATM in Corpus Christi, Texas, delivered a note reading, "Please Help. I'm stuck in here, and I don't have my phone" on Wednesday. And while some figured the message was meant as a joke, police did eventually free a man stuck behind the machine. In what police officer Richard Olden tells KRIS is "a once in a lifetime situation that you will probably never see or hear again," a contractor had been changing a lock at a Bank of America location when he accidentally locked himself inside a room connected to the ATM, which he saw as his only way to get help. It isn’t clear how long the contractor was stuck, but police say he's doing fine. (More Texas stories.)
