A visitor to Montana's Glacier National Park is dead after one wrong step led to a 100-foot fall. Park authorities say 26-year-old Robert Durbin was taking photos by a creek on a scenic mountain road in the park when he fell into the water, reports the Missoulian. According to his brother, Durbin had stopped to look at a waterfall but was only wearing flip-flops and "lost his footing." He was swept into a culvert that carried him beneath the road, then spit him out over a cliff.

Witnesses called for help around 6:30pm Saturday, reports KRTV. Park rangers and Two Bear Air Rescue responded, finding Durbin had fallen 100 feet. The Montana man, who'd been on vacation with his family at the time, died of his injuries at the scene. In light of the accident, a park rep notes to the Missoulian that "we always ask people to not walk, play, or attempt to take photos on the slippery rocks. It's so easy to fall." Officials add falls are a leading cause of death at the park. (This woman fell off a cliff the day after she moved to California.)
