Voters Back Fight to the End

Posted Apr 16, 08 2:56 AM CDT in US Politics

(Newser) – The majority of Democrats want Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to battle to the bitter end rather than concede, a Washington Post-ABC News poll has found. The poll also shows Obama has opened a national10-point lead over Clinton among Democrats, and most say he is now the more electable of the two as negative opinions of both Clintons increase.

More Americans have a negative view of Hillary than at any time since the poll began asking the question in 1992. But 60% of voters aligned with either candidate want both to continue running, and most do even if Clinton fares poorly in Pennsylvania. A third, however, said they won't necessarily vote for the nominee if it's not their top choice. Obama and Clinton debate in Philadelphia tonight.
