Dems Complain About Rival's Complaining

Posted Apr 19, 08 11:02 AM CDT in Politics

(Newser) – The Democratic candidates are down to grousing about each other's griping, Reuters reports. Hillary Clinton said Barack Obama's complaint about tough questions in their recent debate showed he couldn't take the pressure. "I'm with Harry Truman on this—if you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen," she said. "Speaking for myself, I am very comfortable in the kitchen."

The Obama campaign had a few gripes of its own about Clinton. "Her blatant hypocrisy here is stunning," said a spokesman, pointing out that Clinton has had plenty of debate complaints of her own. Obama called Clinton a "tenacious opponent" and snidely suggested the negative tone of her campaigning meant she had picked up a lot of Republican recipes during her time "in the kitchen."
