In Pa., Clinton Has a Math Problem

Posted Apr 21, 08 2:17 PM CDT in Politics

(Newser) – Hillary Clinton must rack up unprecedented numbers in tomorrow’s Pennsylvania primary to challenge Barack Obama’s 800,000-vote lead in the national popular vote, Bloomberg reports. She needs a 25-point margin plus record turnout—2 million in a state where only 800,000 went to the polls in 2004—to have any hope of closing the gap and arguing that she's better positioned to take on John McCain.

"The wheels would have to come off the Obama bus, and the engine would have to blow," says an unaffiliated Democratic consultant.
