Another crazy day on Wall Street, but this time the Dow ended in positive territory. After a day of volatile swings, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed with a gain of 567 points, or 2.3%, making up about half of Monday's steep loss. The Dow finished at 24,912, per the AP. How volatile were the swings? It was the first time in seven years the Dow had been down 2% at one point during the day, only to wind up 2% in the black, reports the Wall Street Journal. The S&P 500 rose 1.7% to 2,695, and the Nasdaq rose 2.1% to 7,115. (More stock market stories.)
