Spitzer Tell-All On Market for $350K

Posted Apr 25, 08 1:55 PM CDT in US Politics Gossip

(Newser) – The bidding for a tell-all on former New York governor Eliot Spitzer begins at $350,000, the Daily News reports, though publishers don't appear certain of a big market for such a book. An agent for Peter Elkind, a Fortune writer and co-author of an Enron tome, said she expects a deal to be done today.

"It seems like a lot of money to me, but the book will get a lot of ink, if not sales," said the editor of Publishers Weekly. "The question is that, by the time it comes out, will people have read everything they need to know in the tabloids and other papers?"
