Elon Musk hit Twitter on Friday, fired off a few tweets, and boom—the Facebook pages for his companies SpaceX and Tesla were gone, the Verge reports. It began with WhatsApp co-founder Brian Acton tweeting him, "It is time. #deletefacebook," and Musk replying, "What's Facebook?" Soon two of Musk's Twitter followers urged him to delete the Facebook pages for SpaceX and Tesla, and Musk obliged. "I didn't realize there was one," Musk tweeted of the former, adding that the Tesla page "looks lame anyway." (See the Twitter exchange here.) The moves follow heavy criticism of Facebook this week and a somewhat iffy relationship between Musk and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

The Facebook backlash follows news that British company Cambridge Analytica had swept up data on millions of users for President Trump's 2016 campaign, NPR notes. As for Musk and Zuckerberg, it began with SpaceX rockets blowing up on launch and destroying a Facebook satellite in 2016. The two have also disagreed on artificial technology, with Zuckerberg dismissing Musk as a "naysayer." Meanwhile Musk kept up his personal Instagram page—which has 6.9 million followers—even though Facebook owns Instagram. "Instagram's probably ok imo, so long as it stays fairly independent," Musk tweeted. (More Elon Musk stories.)
