Winehouse 'Cautioned' After Night in Cell

Posted Apr 26, 08 8:01 AM CDT in World Gossip

(Newser) – Amy Winehouse spent the night behind bars after showing up 3 hours late for questioning yesterday on Tuesday's head-butting and punching assault on two men outside a London bar, the Times reports. The visibly distressed singer was arrested and held overnight because a doctor deemed her “unfit to be interviewed.” This morning she was questioned and released with a "caution."

"Amy was fully co-operative with inquiries and apologized for the incident," her spokesman said. "She thanked the police for their professional handling of the matter. There will be no further action taken."
