Pinch-hitter Jason Bay's three-run homer off Jason Isringhausen snapped an eighth-inning tie and capped the Pittsburgh Pirates' rally from an early four-run deficit in an 11-5 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday. Nate McLouth added his 11th homer for the Pirates. More »

Nate McLouth, dropped a spot in Pittsburgh's order to get more opportunities to produce runs, homered twice while driving in three runs and Zach Duke won for the first time in nearly a year as the Pirates beat the San Francisco Giants 12-6 on Tuesday night. Pat Burrell had two doubles and two RBIs to lead the Philadelphia Phillies past the San Francisco Giants 6-5 today for manager Charlie Manuel's 500th career victory. Shane Victorino had two hits and Carlos Ruiz homered for the Phillies. Philadelphia won in the bottom of the ninth when Geoff Jenkins hit a sharp grounder toward second base, allowing Ryan Howard. Bengie Molina singled in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning to lift the San Francisco Giants to a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies last night. Chase Utley hit his major league-leading 13th homer and Geoff Jenkins had a solo shot for the Phillies.
