The alleged shooter who killed three people at a Rite-Aid distribution center outside Baltimore on Thursday before fatally shooting herself has been identified as Snochia Moseley—and her friends say she wasn't a "monster." Moseley was a 26-year-old temporary worker at the warehouse, Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler told reporters after the shooting. She "had reported for her workday as usual, and around 9am the shooting began, striking victims both outside the business and inside the facility," Gahler said, per the AP. The sheriff, who called the mass shooting a "senseless crime," said three injured people are expected to survive. Authorities say Moseley used a 9mm Glock handgun that was registered in her name, CBS News reports.

Krystal Watson tells the AP that her husband, Eric, works at the Aberdeen warehouse and told her that Moseley, who had worked there for a few weeks, "went off" after an argument at a meeting and was "just shooting," with no particular target. Troi Coley, a friend who had known Moseley since high school, tells the Baltimore Sun that she "wasn't a monster, wasn't an angry person," though she sometimes felt the world was against her. "I just believe this was emotional distress," Coley says. "If she did this, it was her last straw." Moseley is identified as female in court records for traffic violations, though Coley showed the Sun Facebook messages in which Moseley discusses being transgender and reveals her plans to start hormone treatment.
