Mistress Recalls Mailer Sex Roles

Posted May 5, 08 11:58 AM CDT in Arts & Living Gossip

(Newser) – Norman Mailer’s fanciful sex life is giving his best-selling books a run for their money as his legacy, the New York Post reports. Mailer's longtime lover Carole Mallory—who recently hawked her X-rated writings about Mailer's sexual experimentation to Harvard—says the Pulitzer Prize-winner "liked me to dress up in erotic outfits, and we'd role play." His favorites revolved around Hollywood.

Mallory would play a struggling actress willing to do anything for a movie role. "He particularly liked to play the role of producer. The scene would be the casting couch," Mallory says. "Norman was turned on by hearing about my sexual encounters with movie stars … hearing about my sexcapades gave him great pleasure."
