"This is crazy!!" is how a North Carolina hot-dog eatery describes what happened last week at its Greenville location. WRAL reports that a man wandered in to Sup Dogs last Friday, asked for two waters while he was looking at the menu, then left before ordering. The mystery man left behind a $10,000 tip, along with a note that read: "Thanks for the delicious water." "I picked it up and it was a giant stack of hundreds," server Alaina Custer tells the News & Observer. "I was shaking. ... I thought someone was playing a joke on me."

Owner Bret Oliverio says it's the biggest tip anyone on his staff has ever received; the one that comes closest was a still-impressive $500. He notes he found out the generous tipper was YouTube star MrBeast, who's known for making big donations, and that two men were filming Custer's reaction (the video isn't yet up on MrBeast's channel). "He said he wants everyone to know that good things still happen to good people," Oliverio says MrBeast told him after he reached out. "I thought it was pretty cool." Also pretty cool: Custer kept $800 of the huge tip for herself, but she split the rest among her co-workers. (A drunk diner left a $1,088 tip—then came to take it back when he sobered up.)
