In the immediate aftermath of the synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh, two Muslim nonprofit groups set out to raise $25,000 for victims on the crowdfunding site LaunchGood. They passed that goal within six hours, reports the Times of Israel. In fact, as of Monday morning, the groups CelebrateMercy and MPower Change had raised more than $120,000. "We wish to respond to evil with good," the groups said in a statement. A separate fundraiser on GoFundMe had raised nearly $600,000 by Monday morning, per CBS News. (The shooting has brought new attention to the controversial social media site Gab.)
