Scandal-Plagued Ex-DA to Become TV Judge

Posted May 6, 08 12:21 PM CDT in Business Arts & Living Crime & Courts Gossip

(Newser) – An ex-DA from the New York suburbs will be behind the bench starting this fall—on TV. Judge Jeanine Pirro stars a onetime Hillary Clinton Senate challenger who landed the CW gig even though Pirro and her husband have a history of controversies ranging from tax fraud to wiretapping probes, the AP reports. Pirro is also a regular on the Fox News Channel.

"Everyone has had ups and down in their lives," said the ex-Westchester County DA. "The people who come to court want justice but they need a judge who understands those ups and downs."
