The "limited-edition collectible" plush 22-inch bear includes a secret pouch holding an American flag blanket, plus a certificate of authenticity, and the website promises this "piece of American history" is "great for all American holidays," will "show your patriotism," and is "soft and comfy" to boot.
Snopes fact-checked the product and assures readers it is in fact real, and Rolling Stone notes it's actually been available since last year. What's not clear: whether the ad is sincere, purposely tongue-in-cheek, or both. As for some noticing it airing on local Fox stations, Fox News Senior Vice President of Eastern Sales Dom Rossi explains through a rep that "this was a local ad purchase with the cable operator. We do not do business with them nationally." (Trump once spent $20,000 of charity funds on a portrait of himself.)
