Among all the airlines of the world, one is considered the "gold standard." That would be Singapore Airlines, per AirlineRatings.com, which audited different fleets on everything from cabin amenities to crew member service. What put Singapore over the top: its front-of-aircraft suites "designed to be the equivalent of small hotel rooms," as well as its Singapore Girl branding, which "has become synonymous with in-flight excellence." It did have some stiff competition. Here, the 10 best options to get you around the globe:

  1. Singapore Airlines
  2. Air New Zealand
  3. Qantas
  4. Qatar Airways
  5. Virgin Australia
  6. Emirates
  7. All Nippon Airways
  8. Eva Air
  9. Cathay Pacific
  10. Japan Airlines
