New York Post Mocks 'Stray-Rod'

Posted May 30, 07 10:09 PM CDT in Sports

(Newser) – The New York Post decorated its cover with a photo of Yankees superstar Alex Rodriguez and an unidentified blonde woman they allege he took out for dinner at a steakhouse; the two then proceeded to a strip club. Rodriguez is married with a child, and his wife appeared with him in the 2004 Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.

"No comment about anything personal," maintained the embattled slugger, whose performance has been one of the bright points of a lackluster Yankee season.  "I think everything probably got blown out of proportion like always," added teammate Johnny Damon.
