Harvey Weinstein is still facing sexual assault charges in New York. The disgraced filmmaker's defense team wanted a Manhattan judge to dismiss the case against him after allegations that a NYPD detective interfered with witnesses, but the judge on Thursday refused to do so, telling prosecution and defense lawyers that his decision "does not dismiss the indictment," the New York Daily News reports. He set a pretrial hearing for March 7, CNN reports. Defense attorney Benjamin Brafman, who said outside court that he was disappointed in the judge's decision, said he expects Weinstein, 66, to "ultimately ... be completely exonerated." Prosecutors dropped one of the charges against Weinstein two months ago amid the allegations of witness tampering, but he remains accused of a 2013 rape and a 2006 sexual assault. (A Weinstein email to his friends was recently leaked.)
