Outlook Dark for Britain's Brown

Posted May 11, 08 1:53 PM CDT in World    Most Covered

(newser) – British PM Gordon Brown suffered his worst ratings yet today, falling behind Conservative Party leader David Cameron in every category in a new survey. The Labour leader is scrambling to win back public favor after three in four people said he was doing a bad job, with almost half calling his governance very bad, the Guardian reports.

Brown's next move will be a proposal that would extend the right to flexible hours to millions more working mothers. But with Cameron seen by the public as more caring, competent, intelligent, and likable than Brown, Labour ministers devastated by recent elections are worried that Brown's high negatives will continue to hurt their party.
