The Academy Awards kicked off at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles Sunday evening with the pageantry it deserves: a short set by Queen (with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor), featuring Adam Lambert on vocals crooning "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions," per Pitchfork. After that performance, Amy Poehler and Tina Fey took the stage to announce that no, they weren't actually the hosts (there is no host this year), but "we are going to stand here a little too long, so that the people who get USA Today tomorrow will think we have hosted," Fey quipped, per ABC News.
