The search for a woman who vanished after leaving a Boston nightclub Saturday came to a tragic end Thursday when her body was found in the trunk of a suspect's car. Police say 32-year-old Louis Coleman, who was seen on surveillance video with Jassy Correia, has been arrested in connection with her disappearance, NBC reports. Correia, who had been out celebrating her 23rd birthday with friends, was the mother of a 2-year-old girl. Police say Coleman was taken into custody along Interstate 95 in Delaware. Relatives say Correia's body was found in the trunk of his vehicle.

"The cause and manner of death are pending," Boston police said in a statement. "This remains an active and ongoing, multi-agency, multi-jurisdictional investigation." Relatives thanked the community for their support and called for justice, WCVB reports. "She did not deserve this," cousin Katia DePina told reporters. "She went out to celebrate her birthday and never returned home. We want justice for her death." A family friend added: "Women should have a right to go to any nightclub and wear whatever they want to, and not worry about being kidnapped and murdered at the end of (the) night."
