President Trump gleefully brought up the Joe Biden misconduct allegations at a GOP fundraising event in Washington on Tuesday night. The president told the National Republican Congressional Committee event that "socialists" were behind claims of unwanted touching from Biden, whom he described as the "only non sort of heavy socialist" among potential Democratic 2020 candidates, NBC reports. "They got to him," Trump chuckled. "I was going to call him," he added. "I was going to say, 'Welcome to the world, Joe. You having a good time, Joe?" Trump—who boasted about grabbing women on the infamous Access Hollywood tape—joked about Biden again when he talked about getting good news from a general on the fight against ISIS, the Hill reports. "I said 'General, come here. Give me a kiss.' I felt like Joe Biden," Trump said.

Over the weekend, two women accused Biden of unwanted touching, and two more have now come forward, the New York Times reports. Caitlin Caruso says she was 19 when Biden rested his hand on her thigh and hugged her "just a little bit too long" during an event addressing sexual assault at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Writer DJ Hill says Biden made her "very uncomfortable" at a 2012 event when he put his hand on her shoulder and moved it down her back as she and her husband were photographed with the then-vice president. People who know Biden describe him as an "inveterate hugger who has no ill intent" and while aides admit that touching strangers is different, they say it was never seen as an issue, the Times notes. (Nancy Pelosi has some advice for Biden.)
