Vatican: OK to Believe in Aliens

Posted May 14, 08 10:04 AM CDT in World    Most Covered

(Newser) – Believing in God doesn’t mean you can’t believe in aliens, the Vatican’s chief astronomer told L’Osservatore Romano. God may well have created other creatures, including intelligent ones. “We cannot place limits on God’s creative freedom,” he noted.

Christians could “admit the existence of other worlds and other forms of life, even those more evolved than ours, without necessarily questioning faith in the creation, the incarnation and the redemption of mankind,” he said.
