Ashlee Auctions Rights to Cover 'Secret' Wedding

Posted May 15, 08 11:10 AM CDT in Gossip

(Newser) – Rumor has it that one media outlet is offering seven figures to cover Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz’s maybe-shotgun wedding, an affair so secretive that not even the guests know where it will be. Friends and family were sent an e-vite (yes, an e-vite), telling them only to book hotels in the LA area. Then on Saturday private cars will pick them up.

Simpson and Wentz announced their engagement just two months ago, so the sudden wedding is fueling speculation that Simpson is pregnant. But one confidant tells the Post that the relationship is destined to last, “Ashlee is so needy—she just hangs all over Pete. But he loves it. He’s always had a thing for vulnerable girls. In a weird way, they complete each other.”
