Which David Is Our Idol?

Posted May 21, 08 1:16 PM CDT in Arts & Living

(Newser) – We're only hours away from Fox crowning either balladeer (and Simon Cowell fave) David Archuleta, 17, or rocker David Cook, 25, as this season's American Idol. Cook seemed to win last night's live audience, the Kansas City Star reports.

Archuleta, for his part, stayed firmly in ballad territory—his forte by far. Cowell has called it for Archuleta, but it's the millions who vote via text who'll have the final say. The big buildup to the result begins at 8pm EST.
