Most Unpledged Senators Will Go Obama Soon

(Newser) – "Most” of the Senate’s 17 uncommitted Democrats will endorse Barack Obama this week, sources tell CNN, though Majority Leader Harry Reid will remain neutral until Hillary Clinton officially exits. Obama officials had been “pressing” for earlier endorsements, but colleagues "don’t want to pound Hillary Clinton, and there is a sense she should be given a grace period.”

The senators were meeting this afternoon to decide on a course, Politico notes. Meanwhile, MSNBC says, Bill Clinton said today in South Dakota—which, along with Montana, holds final primaries tomorrow—that “this may be the last day I’m ever involved in a campaign of this kind.” He added that stumping for his wife has been “one of the greatest honors of my life.”
