Can Young Blood Bring Sizzle Back to French Open?

After some lackluster French Open women's finals in the recent past, this year's matchup between Ana Ivanovic and Dinara Safina looks promising, Barry Flatman writes in the London Times. Favorite (and new world No. 1) Ivanovic has been dominant, but Safina has taken 12 straight matches since winning in Berlin, and her determination bodes well for tomorrow's final.

Attractive, fierce, and media savvy, Ivanovic is the ideal poster player for the WTA, and her semifinals battle against countrywoman Jelena Jancovic did not disappoint. Safina's last match, on the other hand, lacked much spark, as early favorite Svetlana Kuznetsova faltered and fell quickly. If we're lucky, Flatman writes, we'll get at least three fast-paced sets tomorrow. (More women's tennis stories.)
