An ecstatic Ana Ivanovic won her first grand slam today, beating Russian Dinara Safina to take the French Open crown, Reuters reports. Safina fought hard in the first set, turning a 4-1 deficit into a 4-4 but ultimately fell in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. “I feel so happy, I have no words to describe that,” said the 20-year-old Serbian. “Winning a grand slam title is something I dreamed of since I was a little kid.”   (More French Open stories.)
