Brooklyn Bar Proves Inescapable
You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here. Actually, maybe you can.   (trophybar.blogspot.com)

Most 20-something New Yorkers are accustomed to getting shut out of bars, but how about getting shut in? A young paralegal who now knows far more than he wanted to about Williamsburg's Trophy Bar shares his tale of overnight captivity with the New York Times, recalling that when he realized the sun was coming up, "I thought, ‘I guess I’m going to be late for work.'"

“Really sweet guy,” the bartender on duty said of Kyle Hausmann, 24. “Really wasted but super nice.” At 4:30, as the bar closed up, Hausmann went for one last bathroom trip and passed out there. After numerous escape attempts, he walked free after an owner opened up in the morning. “I really love your bar,” was all he could think to say. “I’ll be back.” (More claustrophobia stories.)
