Site Will Email Buddies After You Depart in Rapture

Posted Jun 10, 08 3:58 PM CDT in US Technology

(Newser) – A new website will email godless friends and family left behind after you’ve been taken to heaven in the Rapture. For $40 per year, Youvebeenleftbehind.com will store any emails and documents for you, ABC reports—then send them about six days after the Lord hath taken away. The server will know the time has come when its employees don’t log on.

How’d the founder get the idea? “I was ... trading equities online and trying to think, ‘How I can send my password to my wife if the Rapture happened at this moment?’” Experts are wary: Said one, “In one sense, they're arguing it will be a time of great disaster, but in another sense he's saying, ‘I promise my Web site will be working.’”
