Spurs Take Second Game

Posted Jun 11, 07 11:30 AM CDT in Sports

(Newser) – San Antonio is two for two in the NBA finals, after a mind-numbing 103-92 rout over an apparently outmatched Cleveland last night. The Spurs entered the fourth quarter up by 27, a lead pruned but not uprooted by a workmanlike 15 minutes from LeBron James and the Cavs.

"It was really disappointing," said San Antonio's perfectionist Manu Ginobili of the last-minute convening of scores. Tim Duncan and France's imperturable Tony Parker combined for 53 points in the offensive massacre. James led the Cavs with 25, but off a sloppy 21 attempts. The Spurs hope they can prolong their virtually unimpeded success in the first game in Cleveland tomorrow.
