Gore Endorses Obama

Posted Jun 16, 08 4:43 PM CDT in Politics

(Newser) – Al Gore will endorse Barack Obama for president tonight at a rally in Detroit, ABC News reports. "From now through Election Day, I intend to do whatever I can to make sure he is elected President of the United States," Gore said of Obama in an email to supporters. Obama has talked openly of inviting Gore to serve in an administration.

"I can guarantee you that Al Gore will be invited to take part in my administration. And I don't know what he'll want to do and what he'll be willing to accept," Obama said. "He and I already talk, you know, periodically. And he evaluated our environmental plan. I took many ideas from him."
