(Newser) – Report card time! Here’s how the rambunctious kids of MLB are doing so far, in Yahoo Sports’ Steven Henson’s estimation.

A students—Rays, Red Sox, Cubs, Angels, White Sox
Particular kudos go to the Rays, the poor kid who went to the head of the class.

B students—Cardinals, Brewers, Twins, Phillies, Yankees, Athletics, Marlins, Orioles
The Cardinals have a slight edge in the wildcard race. The Yankees, meanwhile, barely scrape together a B.

C students—Diamondbacks, Tigers, Rangers, Mets, Braves, Jays
Arizona blew a hot start against bad opponents, while Detroit just underachieved.

D students—Dodgers, Giants, Royals, Indians, Pirates, Astros, Reds, Nationals
Big-time disappointment Cleveland has some big-time trade deadline decisions ahead.

Failures—Rockies, Padres, Mariners
Oh, Colorado. You were good for a minute there.

Quit celebrating, Diamondbacks. Your early lead is long gone.

Tampa may eventually fade behind the rich kids in Boston and New York, but for now, they're at the front of the class.
